You're all invited to ~Profound Experience of Philadelphia, a day of workshops, readings, and other activities on Saturday, March 26 at Colorspace Labs in Philadelphia! ~Profound Experience of Philadelphia is ideal for people who are probably not going to AWP but who are going to the city anyway to hang out and see friends and maybe even make some new ones…
Program
“Mini Moon” with Caroline Rayner: A special edition of Writing the Moon, otherwise known as Moon Class. This workshop will involve a brief discussion of a poem or two, as well as a writing activity, all inspired by the moon of that day: a waning moon in Capricorn.
“Making Magazines” with Kristen Felicetti: Have you ever wanted to make a print publication? Using The Bushwick Review and other magazines as examples, this workshop will provide resources around printing, design, funding, distribution, and other topics. We'll also make some old school cut-and-paste zines!
“Poetry in Motion” with Oscar d’Artois: In this workshop we will be experimenting with some light movement alongside a few poems and exploring what could come out of where they intersect. Come prepared to move and maybe scribble some stuff down from a whole new perspective!
Shotgun-style readings—any attendee can sign up to read!
Micro book fair—any attendee can bring books to sell!
Possibly some games??
& ofc… hanging out!!
